The Trench Coat scale is Noir Cigar's signature cigar rating system created by Detective Watson. Cigars are rated from 1 to 5 Trench Coats based on construction quality, draw resistance, burn consistency, flavor complexity and transitions, and overall story and experience. A 5 Trench Coat rating is the highest honor — reserved for cigars that deliver on every level.
